You know, I've been hearing, "Oh, just wait until season 6." But I hadn't realized that meant that the show is completely reinvented to the point of being unrecognizable (and in my opinion this is a very, very good thing). I mean...MONTAGES. POP MUSIC. BACKSTORY. MEANINGFUL GLANCES. and a little something called CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.
Excuse my caps of doom, but I am completely thrown by this swift change from a show I was slogging through mostly out of stubbornness (calicified baby? WTF, people?), and now before me is a show that has all my kinks, not to mention a million places where a nice shippy insert fic is not only possible, but NECCESARY.
Now, you know 'Blind Side' filled me with squee, but I can point to the exact moment that I was sold, hook, line, and sinker, on this show. Trout was even lucky enough to be on the IM end of my flailing. I was watching "The War At Home." And Goren is getting all flustered between his Mom and this case and he just loses it and Eames goes after him ("Bobby"!!!) and he just shuts her down. Smack. OUCH. Wow, yes, that was the moment for this fangirl. (You are all terribly surprised that angst of doom converted me. Lol)
So, first five seasons of LOCI? Besides Nicole Wallace? Yawn. Never had the impulse to rewatch a single moment. Halfway through season six? I'm already burning holes in certain episodes.
Jenn and Sharon? You win.
I surrender.
