My Sam/Jack brain has been on overtime lately.  Don't know if this is a reaction to the end of our series or the current WTFery infecting particular areas of S/J fandom.  Perhaps it is both.  I tend to be over the 'Sam Carter Exists Only to be Jack's Baby Farm,'  'Dating Pete Makes Sam a Heartless Slut,' and 'Sam and Daniel Are Siblings' claims made by the more rabid areas of fandom.  Frankly, I can barely work up enough respect for such ludicrous ideas to even be offended, but I've seen how such craziness has infected those near and dear to me (*eyes holdouttrout*) so I think I will say something.  A couple of somethings actually.  I've been a part of the wackiness known as Stargate Fandom for a lovely three years now.  As far as newbies go, I was lucky enough to stumble into the company of some fabu people almost from the start (*eyes Gateshippers*), instantly supplied with great fic, level-headed and thoughtful discussion, and kindness.  The way fandom should alway be, I think.  But even before I was drawn in by such a great environment, there was something else that brought me here in the first place.

I am a shipper.  (Duh.)  I am a Sam and Jack shipper. (Comes as a shock to all, I know.)  Even though it doesn't seem to be the coolest or most PC thing to be these days, I stand by my love for them.  So, in my bout of fannishness, I am going to babble on and on about various aspects of my love for this pairing over the next few days, weeks.  Please excuse my self-indulgence, but this is how I want to mark the close of TV canon.  Nothing but love for you, fandom.  :)
