Why do we do this to ourselves?

This is your official ficathon whinging post.  Feel free to dump your panic and complaints here.  I will procrastinate my writing even further by providing sympathy, encouragement, and bad jokes.

The Good News:
+I managed to 'forget' long enough to miss the deadline for signing up for apocalyptothon.
+I have actual words written for sjficathon.
+I possibly have an idea for tealc_ficathon, or it could just be indigestion.  But I only need 500 words!  I can do that.
+I managed to snag a letter in the latest Alphabet Soup! Janet!  Yay!

The Bad News:
-I forgot to sign up for apocalyptothon! Wah!
-I have once again bitten off way more than I can chew with my sjficathon story. Panic is imminent. Learn to write a frickin' drabble, Annerb!
-I have not a single word written for my tealc_ficathon story.  Not even one "Indeed."  As in, "Indeed, you are most screwed, Annerb."
-I signed up for the latest Alphabet Soup. What the hell was I thinking?
