Here’s one more Fandom Secret:


This isn’t really a secret, but it feels like it.

I feel like I’ve spent a lot of time apologizing for my pairing preference over the years, which I know most of you would be the first to jump in and tell me is stupid, but the fact is that I have.  I was thinking about why that might be.  I decided that maybe I feel the need to keep quiet about the fact that I am an OTPer, like I might get kicked out of the club if anyone realized I’m not actually a multishipper, or the awesome gen people on my flist might wake up one day to one too many posts about my shipwhore preferences and say, “Geez, how did I never realize Annerb is totally one of those people before?”  I would like to think that I am open-minded and accepting of the wide spectrum of fabulous fandom we’ve got going here on LJ, and that should be enough without having to bend over backwards to make sure I don’t ever get mistaken for a rabid OTPer, like having an OTP is a crime.  No one *made* me feel this way either, it’s total self-censorship.

I still feel like squee.  So I’m going to indulge and share why I love my OTP so damn much.  Very, very image heavy.
