Wow... this chapter's just full of surprises.

She stares at her hand clenched around his wrist, knuckles white from the pressure, both of them stuck half-leaning awkwardly over the desk.

I love how Jack's willing to go and let Sam have space if that's what she needs. But instead, she wants him there, but she didn't realize how much she needs him, too. And what a great observation, that there's no where on Atlantis she can go to get away from being the Commander. She lives at her job.

She’s quiet for a moment, her hands flattening against her legs. “I wish that had anything to do with it.”

Jack looks at her in surprise, the thread of rage in her voice catching him off-guard.

Oh, Sam... this and the flashback to the beginnings of her escape... no one will look down on her for doing what had to be done in order to get out of there. Sam expects so much of herself and set such standards. It's painful to see her in such pain about not only her captivity, but her escape and the fact that it came after three other dead bodies.

Lorne's not judging, right?!?

I admit, I was surprised but relieved by her taking the pill, if only because her body needs rest. Of course, Janet would've hooked her up to an IV now. Heh.

I'm wondering about these experiments and if Sam's unique chemistry makes her unpalatable (is that possible?) to the Wraith.

I can't wait for more! And btw, I love Jack and Sheppard playing video golf while everyone else works because... yeah. Sometimes they're eerily similar.
