How do you keep writing all these wonderful chapters? I love Jack's interactions with all the Atlantis personnel, but especially this one:
Sheppard slides him a shit-eating grin. “I’m sure Ronon would be happy to spar with you, sir.”
Jack’s eyes narrow. “Remind me, Sheppard. Didn’t I fire you?”
It's just fantastic. The other thing that I love about Jack is that no matter how dumb he plays, he's always watching everyone, and figuring out what they're not saying. Which is probably not a skill that Sam appreciates right now...
And these flashbacks are heartbreaking. Lorne is the only one who saw exactly how close Sam came to the edge, though Jack probably has a good idea. Is it wrong that I can't wait for Lorne & Sam rehash the mission?
*Sigh*. I can't decide if Sam genuinely believes that she's fooling almost everyone into thinking she's fine, or if she needs the illusion for herself. Probably a bit of both. But when *McKay* says “She’s not really okay, is she?”...Sam's got to be feeling pretty crappy for him to notice.

Absolutely brilliant chapter.
