Forget this:

I'd rather have more of this!

Lots, lots, lots more. Like now.

I could go on about how Allison already made her choice, and Jack not needing to stand around waiting for the leftovers, but mostly? Tess and Jack are just smirking, sarcastic, adorkable glee. And the chemistry! Yee gods, the chemistry. Even though, yes, I understand that I will never get this. That's okay. They can play in my head. The joys of being a ship whore. :D

I love Tess and Jack. Loved loved loved, and I was more into Allison (at least in the year before Henry screwed it all up).

But I admit to freaking out a bit last week. I didn't watch Eureka when it first aired because I wanted to watch "Mental" (I love that show). And...the same actress (I forgot her name, and I always just call her Cadman after her SGA char) was doing her recurring role there.

So she was competing...against herself in that time slot! Hee!

It was a really cute episode, most especially for the UST snark. But I still like SG-1's take on the macguffin trope more. ;-)

Miss Tess-Cadman-whateverherrealnameis, is just dynamite. Love her. She's definitely on that Vancouver actor conveyor belt. Lol.

I remember being on board with the Allison/Jack stuff for a while, but it's just died on me. And you're right, pretty much right from the Henry rewind time restart thingy.

But I still like SG-1's take on the macguffin trope more. ;-)

Oh gods, do I dare even ask what this means?

Oh, just that I liked Crystal Skull/Arthur's Mantle as a take on the interdimensional whatsit.

MacGuffin (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MacGuffin) Although I guess I technically I should've said a Magnetic Plot Device (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MagneticPlotDevice).

I don't care who they hook up Carter with. As long as at least one ep a season he wonders around shirtless (or mostly nekkid, I'm not picky.)

BUT! I did like Tess and him. Mostly him.

(I have a huge crush on colin ferguson, if you couldn't tell.)(and I only have on Jack Icon.)

Hahah. Carter is good fun. Glad you are enjoying the eye candy. :D

Another show I need to watch?

What? Can't you tell that unless it's the Tour de France I don't watch tv? It's a miracle that I ever started watching SG1 and fell for the stupid!cute at all.

Well, for me, Eureka isn't a be all and end all kind of show. It's just a fluffy, fun show on skiffy. Just nice goofy fun without need of getting too invested. These two actors just happened to spark so well of each other this last week that I actually felt the need to comment. She's just a guest spot, so I'm sure she will be gone in a moment. Of course, the funniest thing about this show is the main protagonist's name:

Jack Carter.

Hahahaha.

I noticed that particular aspect right off the bat.
I love most characters named Jack - this is just one more reinforcement of that proclivity. But him being Jack *Carter* - the snark, the tall, broad shouldered frame, the absolute slavish commitment to duty - it's just too perfect. :D
Glad you watch! And, I think Tess may be around a little while...

Oh, and sorry I haven't mailed the Leverage DVDs yet, I can't stop watching them long enough to get to the post office. (They do have season one of Leverage available for streaming if you have Netflix, though I do promise I have every intention of mailing it to you. Eventually. Lol)

No worries!! I've so behind on watching/reading stuff that I won't notice for months, but one day I'd like to watch an episode and see what all the fusslove is about.

Netflix? I've heard of it, but no, we don't belong. We are movie luddites, although I think I still have a Blockbuster membership somewhere, but haven't used it since we had a VCR.

Well, heck, if they can make a shirt that hides pregnancy, you'd think they could make a non-wrinkle pant. Lol.

I don't think you'll get it either.
End of 1st season when Henry was screwing with the future, they showed a glimpse of a pregnant Allison with Carter, together. I think this scene will happen just not in the way we expected.
And the actor who played Stark (can't remember his name now) was just on "True Blood" playing a vampire.

Of course I won't. But that's okay. My imagination is pretty resilient. ;)

Hahah. If I knew all it would take to get you to pop up in my journal was to slam a ship you were fond of, I'd have done it *ages* ago! :P

Awww. I do follow your journal as much as I can!!

It's not like you pop up in mine much either! ;)

But I do very much wish we were still in closer touch.

We should not let deviating fandom interests keep us apart!*g*

Hee. I was just teasing. :P It's always sad when fannish paths veer. We can just hope they veer back together at some point. :D

I saw about five minutes when Carter & Tess meet for the first time and thought, "Wow, I like their vibe!". I'm glad I'm not the only one who picked up on that!

posted by [identity profile] annerbhp.livejournal.com at 05:35am on 29/07/2009
Yeah, it's a great vibe. It probably wasn't supposed to be there, but whatever. I just hope they don't use it as a "Allison realizes her true feelings when her friend flirts/date/shags Carter." That will annoy me.

I just want Jack to actually get SOMEONE at some point. He's too adorable not to, y'know? I don't like him waiting for Allison or anything. He needs some love and affection. Plus, I like Tess and the way she interacts with him... they're so cute and bewildered by each other!

Btw, the best thing about the actor who plays Stark as a vampire on "True Blood" is that he plays a COWBOY vampire from Dallas. With the hat and everything. It's like he's Stark, but with a cowboy hat. It made me laugh.

I had something else to say and now I've totally forgotten it... sheesh.

Yes. Jack definitely deserves some unconditional, unencumbered RST, but I'm not holding my breath. Eureka can be pretty dark for such a fluffy show. Weird.

I've watched Eureka since the beginning. As best I can recall, I enjoyed the first season, then it took a dark turn which I didn't care for, then it got better and I'm quite enjoying most of it again.

And the name Jack Carter is certainly a source of endless amusement to this SG1 fan (who happens to enjoy S/J as well as team.)

they are too cute to be put away in some dusty file...

Hahah. I am sure there is some Carter/Cadman fic out there. ;)

Yeah, I'd like more Tess, but as usual, I am scared how tptb might use her. Oh well, best not to get too invested. Lol.
