SGU

So, not surprised. Not destroyed by it either. I mean, I would have preferred more. But that's life. I did just want to say that...whatever you may say about the writing, the acting on SGU is phenomenal. It really is. I'll miss a lot of these characters.

I guess this means it's time to finish my Ginn/Greer epic. SGU according to Annerb. I'll add it to my 2011 To Do list. ;)

Doesn't surprise me. Still sad.
I DVR them and wait a couple weeks to watch as many episodes as I can in a row. I can't enjoy it when the kids are around. But I didn't get sucked in like with SG-1 or Atlantis. I still enjoyed the show and couldn't wait for the next episode to find out what was going on. I had 3 episodes on my DVR last week and I was so itching to find time to sit back and watch them all.

Very sad. There were moments of just...pure awesomeness. And then there were moments that were not. I think it really could have found its stride if it had just been given the chance though. Oh well. I will just try to enjoy the rest of this last season.

I totally agree. It kind of started off slow but as things progressed I got more interested in the story line and the characters started to interest me. I still liked Eli and Rush the best. And I thought Young was finding himself. At least I wanted to see him on screen more...being badass. I'm weird, though. I tend to pick some odd characters to like, lol. I always tend to like my shows for different reasons than the main fans.

SGU according to Annerb

Well, I will miss the show, but I will also look forward to this! :)

Thank goodness for fanfic, no? Though, I have to admit, for all my love of my personal fanon of Ginn/Greer, I could have gotten behind the Greer/Park they seemed to be pushing these last few eps. Clearly I am just a Greer fangirl. :D

Mostly I'm just sad that once again, we in other countries are subject to US viewing habits. It was doing really well here, damnit! I'm going to miss those characters too, but at least SGU was an excellent showcase for their talents.

Yeah, I can imagine. It's annoying enough knowing my watching habits have no influence, but at least it's my stupid countrymen making the decisions. ;) Clearly your country has better taste.

I hope to see these actors in many new, successful projects. (Maybe AT can adopt some of them into Sanctuary.)

I didn't really watch SGU, but I think I'm sad that there won't be any more Stargate on my TV.

And also, TPTB are obviously tools: some members of the cast and crew found out about the cancellation on Twitter.

Who doesn't find out all their news from Twitter? I know I do, lol. That does suck, though. You wake up with a tweet from your boss..."oh, yeah, by the way: you're fired. have a nice day."
A pink slip in under 140 characters.

I still maintain that Twitter is the last sign of the apocalypse.

Yeah. I fear much like the failed experiment that was Enterprise, that this might signal the end of serial TV Stargate. :(((

Though, a sexy Abrams reboot might be worth some laughs. Snerk.

See, and I was one of those that really liked Enterprise.

While I had been starting to really enjoy SGU, I am even more annoyed that they will probably replace it with more wrestling and Sharktopus movies. Grr.

Oy. Because what the world really needs is more wrestling.

Not gutted but sad, SGU grew on me and this season I really started to like the characters and care about them and the story lines . Loved the acting, Rush and TJ my favorites. Also the only scifi series I watched :-( need suggestions for new ones.
SGU according to Annerb ? Awsome :-)

Yeah. Disappointed. The acting really was phenomenal. Greer was definitely my favorite. And I liked all the background science peeps.

I don't think there is any other scifi I am watching now, unless Sanctuary counts. At least we still have AT on our screens being awesome. So how bad can the world really be? :)

I watched it but am not real bothered by its cancellation. It just didn't grab me like SG-1 and Atlantis. I found myself watching it just so I could hear little bits about what was going on back on Earth.

The acting was mostly great, the FX amazing but I just was completely turned off by the need to give all the characters so many instant flaws. I'd have rather learned about them gradually than make me dislike every character from the outset.

Greer was probably my favorite as well.

Bummer. I felt like it was actually finally hitting it's stride here in the second season. I still hated some of the plot developments (Kill off the only two strong female characters that I actually cared about?! What the hell?), but overall, it seemed to be getting less obnoxious. But then again, is "less obnoxious" really a reason to keep a show going? Probably not.
I will miss Greer and Eli...the rest, not so much.
