Oh, Chase. No. NO.

Seriously. Did the show get midseason notes from the network where they were like, okay, we will order a few more eps, but only if you make these women a hell of a lot more cliched. They are way too empowered and normal and competent. Give one of them a drinking problem and a shady past or something. Let the young hot guy identify with it and save her. Because...Daisy just rolling over and letting Luke push her and turning into a giant woobie? I was like, WHO ARE YOU? And even if the pure assasination of Daisy's character wasn't enough, dear god the cliche one shot characters. The chubby receptionist girl who rolls over and gives highly sensitive information simply because a cute guy was nice to her AND BRIBED HER WITH DONUTS? Really? REALLY? And oh, the money shot: girl looking stupid as marshalls charge up, even so far as to have the donut stuffed in her face.  (And, oh god, "I should have known. No one is ever nice to me." WTF?) Yes, because much like we learned last week (women who like sex must have been traumatized in the past), we have learned that anyone not Hollywood thin must be lonely and food addicted and have no morals what so ever. For fuck's sake, Chase. I kind of wish they'd let you die in peace.

I'm just gonna pretend the show ended mid season... cause... this is sad...

Yeah. Let's all just pretend. 13 perfect episodes. And that was it. Lol.

It... sort of makes me wonder if higher-ups said "viewers aren't connecting with the cast" and so they gave them "normal" stuff and then higher-ups were like "Viewers like sex and damage, give us that, not this normal crap" and thus. Yeah.

It's the only thing that makes sense. Blerg.

...I'm twenty seconds in and already doing :( face.

WHAT AM I WATCHING. :(

eta2: And there goes the "women aren't sexually assaulted/threatened with rape on Chase, yay!" rule. (idek, I'm not watching anymore for the moment. My rage and distaste is too high. :/)

Oh, FFS. Should I even bother to watch? I mean, just from the donuts (OH GOOD LORD) alone... it doesn't exactly sound promising in any respect.

God, I kind of want you to watch just to make sure I am not completely seeing things. (Also to commiserate with.) But I can completely understand avoiding it all together. Oy, oy, oy.

Well, I spent last night watching Castle--which made my shipper brain unreasonably happy. :-)

So tonight I think I can manage to watch Chase and commiserate.
