Holy Apocalypse, Batman.
Falling Skies is totally hitting all of my kinks. Yes, there are flaws, and there can always be more women and less whitey-boy manpain, BUT. I have an embarrassing attachment to Noah Wyle back from the John Carter ER years (and now he's SCRUFFY, and a ex-history professor with a gun!)

Not to mention that I completely and utterly renounce any attachment I ever had to Paul Davis in the face of the sheer AWESOME that is Colin Cunningham as John Pope. I just...love him, evil and all. (God, who knew he would make such an awesome bad guy?)

And don't even get me started on Moon Bloodgood as Anne Glass. Civilian BAD ASSERY, right there.

Did I mention the apocalypse? And the aliens? And moments of humanity sandwiched into total horror and angst? Oh, and it's already been picked up for a second season, so hopefully my curse won't screw us all too badly. Lol.

I'm totally enamored of Colin's evilness, though and I hope we see more of him than we have thus far.
It's too bad 'V' couldn't get to THIS part of the Visitor's invasion quicker. It may have lasted longer.

Never did watch V myself.

And while I do wish both of the young kick-ass females could be something other than stick-thin blondes, Dr. Anne is so faboo that she almost makes up for it. :)
And "Paul Davis" as the baddie? So, so good.

Yeah, two leather wearing, motorcycle-riding blond girls is just one too many. (I couldn't tell them apart much in the beginning, though I believe I prefer Margret in the end. She's got a nice dark edge to her.)

I'm totally still in love with Noah Wyle. :)

Yes - it's just started showing on cable here so I've only watched the first two eps but really enjoying it so far. I too am ridiculously attached to Noah Wyle from ER (am onto the last season of that finally too... sniffle).

Oh, Carter. I was such an avid Abby/Carter shipper. Ha. So predictable.

I've never seen ER, I don't know who this Moonblood girl is (and what's with her name, anyways?), but the sight of Colin Cunningham with long hair + the idea of him being evil in a post-apocalyptic world with aliens? Yes, please!
And it was damn good. Gritty, and worn-down, but not broken, and with those moments like the son on the skateboard type thing, damn, I just about cried. Hope, there is some! And having more roles than just hard-ass military or Joe Hero - like the doc, I appreciated that, and the mechanic. Just those details added so much.
Anyhow, definitely planning on buying it through itunes, so thanks so much for this rec.
(Oh, and I can't wait to read what you write for it. I mean, you've already got the apocalypse part taken care of, it should be that much easier, right? RIGHT?) :D
