Snagged from
pepper_field. Only these are characters not actors. Write me in as their Mary Sue love interest, pretty please!!! Image heavy.
P.S. As I was perusing my favorite movies and books and such to pick my top ten, I found it interesting how many of them appeal to me purely on the strength of a main female character rather than a man. I should do a Top 20 Women Character Heroes sometime. :)

My Top Ten Fictional Boyfriends
10. Wolverine

Thank god a picture is worth a thousand words...
9. Jason Bourne

Kind-hearted killing machine? With a tragic past. (I'm sensing a theme.)
8. Leto Atreides

Hot, tragic, trapped by destiny, and kick ass. Although the uncomfortably close relationship with his twin sister might get annoying.
7. Han Solo

A hot, blaster wielding, tight pants wearing, space ship flying smart ass? There is no resisting.
6. Hawkeye (Nathaniel Poe)

Yes. There is something to be said for a man who can protect you from anything the New World might throw at you and still look drop dead hawt. Plus, the waterfall scene? Definitely something I would do my best to live for.
5. Roux

Hmmm...guitar playing gypsy who happens to look like Johnny Depp? Yes, please.
4. Lincoln Six Echo

Okay, let's be honest. This is more about Ewan McGregor than Lincoln. Lol. But a sweet-hearted guy in need of guidance in the big bad real world? Yeah. Those are lessons I wouldn't mind giving.
3. Fitzwilliam Darcy

I'd happily take either one. Rich, hot, moody, and in need of a woman with a sharp, witty tongue? What's not to love?
2. Jack O'Neill

You're all shocked, I know. Just....yeah. I don't think I need to explain this one, right? Guh.
1. Eomer.

A surprising number one, I know. I have no real explanation for this one, just that he makes me tingle all over. The hair, the grit, the sword skillz, the drama! Sigh...

I always went for Faramir, in the books. Eomer was lovely, but I was waiting for Faramir to turn up. Sadly, I found him a little bit of a disappointment. Ah well. :)

8) Is that James McAvoy?
mmmmm, pretties (and yay for doing the characters - I was thinking the same thing after Pepper's post - how I think in characters so much more than actors)
(no subject)
Number eight is indeed James McAvoy. I have loved him for ages, you can't imagine how happy I am to see him start popping up in all manner of films. (Though, seeing him as a faun in Narnia was slightly disturbing. lol)
Yes, let's see your character list!
And I am pretty sure I completely suck and didn't wish you a happy birthday yesterday!! I hope it was awesome! *hugs*
(no subject)
heee! I first saw him in Band of Brothers and I think he was just starting to make his name then (they used mostly small, not-known actors) and I'm always so excited to see guys from there make it. I bet the faun was disturbing!
Working on the list :)

It's okay! I was almost born on the 21st anyway. Thank you and it was VERY awesome! (people wrote about Sam! EEE!)

How much do I love you right now? Hahaha. This has to be an icon.
Did you see Atonement? I haven't seen it yet, but I keep thinking about it.
Yes, Eomer and his sister!!!! When he was being exiled and he just knew he was leaving his sister vulnerable? Or when he finds her on the battlefield? Yes. See, he needs his own girlfriend to take care of him. *volunteers*
There can never, never be enough Sam. Maybe I will try to write you something (my muse is being rather perverse at the moment, but you never know, she might cooperate.:)
(eta: html for the loss. :(

Nope! I've been wanting to see Atonement (DUNKIRK! I am WWII movie SUCKER) but have not yet. I am the worst person ever at making it to movie theaters.
I just...Eowyn in that movie. All of Rohan. With the horses and the hills and the music and that opening shot in the second movie where she she walks outside and the flag rips off and flutters away? *falls over*
But. Yes :)

Hee :) Well, if the muse feels like cooperating, I wouldn't complain as Sam is awesome and you write awesome Sam and there is never enough of that, but feel no obligation.

and I agree with your p.s. None of my reading is done for the male lead. I'm always looking for a strong female character.

Though when I was thinking of compiling my own list of fictional boyfriends, Sorkin's men were at the top of that list.

That is a great picture of Han. It's just so very him.
And number one is not surprising to me in the least - he was seven on my list. So very hot.

and off topic:
I spent part of this afternoon happily reading String Theory from start to finish.
Thank you so much for this story! I enjoyed it immensely. The Sam characterization was a lovely blend of all the Sams we see in canon: Dork!Sam, the two Dr. Carters from the AUs, and canon Sam. I adore your Jack; he seems extremely IC to me. And I LOVED it that you gave us Kawalsky; that kind of (almost) balanced the lack of Skaara!
Thank you for a most pleasant and engaging and engrossing diversion to the Het Side of Jack! It's a wonderful tale.
