I randomly threw in a little note to Cora Munro in my batch of letters last night because I have had Last of the Mohicans on the brain lately (apparently holdouttrout had never seen it and I twisted her arm and made funny faces until she promised to add it to her DVD queue).  So I had to rewatch it for the twelve-millionth time. Still love it.  And then, of course, I icon'd. 

         

And then I thought how awesome it would be to have a whole series of Women Who Kick Ass icons.  So, what I'm asking is for you to tell me about a tv or movie character that makes you proud to be a woman.  Is there a particular scene you love?  What attracted you to the character?  Or heck, just comment with your favorite Kick Ass Woman Icon and tell us why she is so fabulous.  The more obscure or old skool the better, not that I would really mind comments full of Sam, Vala, Janet, Kara Thrace, Roslin, Elizabeth and Teyla love.
