It's possible zombies just worked their way into my NaNo. I did not see that coming. Lol.

Still behind, but rapidly closing back in on the target numbers. Just got derailed by the usual combination of RL, work, and novel disorganization. A few days stepped back and writing outlines and polishing up what I already have has gotten me back in the right direction. (Now if only I could actually delete things rather than having them all strikethrough'd and shoved at the bottom of the draft. Be gone, foul text!)

Been watching some TV. You know, just a tiny wee bit. Really.

AT and her boys continue to give me the best scifi on TV. And this week more HENRY! (And I am just now noticing how cool their strange anachronistic machines are. Lovely design choice.) Magnus = awesome. Plus, you know, Paul Davis. (Evil Paul Davis.) Love the parade of syfy actors through the Sanctuary lot.

CSI (Las Vegas) is one of the few shows that the husband watches with me, so when they pulled the whole CSI Trilogy thing last week we actually watched all three CSI's. Oh boy. I can now say with some confidence that CSI Miami may be the single most terrible thing on TV right now. And yes, I am counting Trauma, god rest it's cracky soul. It's that bad. (Aiieee! Emily Proctor! Please leave now and find a better show for your awesomeness. i.e. Ainsley Hayes.)

Glee, you still win at the Teevee right now. I love that this week all of the meanest characters turned out to be the most secretly awesome. Go Puck, and go Sue. You win this week. But also Kurt and his Dad. I love that they have the most functional family relationship we've ever seen on the show.

You're just one small step behind in the squee standings, Castle. Oh yes you are.

Bones continues to be my go to fluff show of choice. I hope Brennan and Booth never get together. The UST and confusion and unbreakable affection is just so much fun as it is.

Hey, even SGU showed some promise this week. Great character moments in there even if Eli's true confessions of a traumatized fanboy did stretch a bit long here and there. The worst part is knowing there is the complete time wipe that has to be coming. So that scene with TJ having to tell Eli that Chloe is already dead....and TJ out in the hall with that other woman (ack, what's her name?), none of those scenes really ever happened. Boo. I'm a bit torn with the episode in one main way, mainly the plot. On the one hand, this was the best plot so far, the tightest and most episodic, and you know me, I love apocalypses and apparent death and temporal resets, but I still think to this day that the biggest weakness of SGA was the 'recycle a plot'-itis the show seemed to suffer from (SOLAR FLARES!). There are millions more scific tropes to mine, people! You don't have to only pull from old SG-1 eps! (Because god knows SG-1 borrowed more than their fair share of scifi recycled plots.)

Uh, I think that's probably it. NaNo has kept me from digging in on White Collar yet (or the Gilmore Girls box set still sitting unopened), but I have serious Hulu plans in place come December.

Back to NaNo now.

I did the same re: CSI (well, I'm actually still only half way through NY. I watch "on demand" and thus can ff the long/boring cityscape shots and/or icky autopsy--I think it cuts another ten minutes off the show!)

And O.M.G. CSI: Miami is just as bad as I remembered it. Seeing the awesome that is Lawrence with the others and just...

BTW, "that other woman" on SGU is Park. I swear if I wasn't transcribing the damn things, I wouldn't remember it either (and even at that I get some of the dudes confused).

Yes. White Collar = Awesome

Hahah. Yes. I love how Langston is basically pointing out CSI 101 forensic knowledge and they are all like, "OMG, Dr. Ray. Couldn't have done it without you!" Which makes me wonder how they ever solve anything. Plus, WTF was up with their like, special vision lab? WTF?

Ah. Park. Yes, I should have known you would know. I like her.

I know! I was like, dudes, I know he was a big professor serial killer analyst, but he's really the CSI newbie. I mean, I get the conceit he's got to come for your crossover thing, but, how do you solve every other crime of the week if you're fawning all over him and only NOW FINDING BEAR TRACKS? Does Caine just torture suspects with his dialogue until they confess?

And then you get to CSI: NY where they're all been there/done that. Blah blah on their stuff and thanks for your insights too Ray.

I like Park too.

I feel your pain. I love that strikethrough exists because that work had got to count for something even if I don't think it fits, but it still annoys the crap out of me to see it on my draft.

This is why I have one master document and a separate document for each chapter that does not include strikethrough text :)

(Kurt-Burt is utterly awesome and nearly made me cry.)

It's so ugly! Wah! Plus, my normal writing habits have me continually going back and revising as I add more. But NaNo won't let me fuss! Boo! (Life is so hard some times. lol)

Kurt rocked this week.

I haven't seen Sanctuary or SGU yet, but Bones is killing me dead every week. I just... they are... just... ack! With the almost-kissing, and then the fanboy-ing (and girl-ing) of them both by EVERYONE WHO KNOWS THEM EVER. *flails* I wouldn't actually mind actual kissing. But. The unrequited stuff is just terrible and awesome.

Zombies in SPACE! Clearly this just proves we are both made of win.

Hahah. I know the UST is killing a lot of people, but for some reason I'm just loving it. Draw it out forever!!! Woot!

Zombies!!!!! Pretty much everything is more Fun with Zombies.

or ninjas. or Pirates. BUT ZOMBIES! :D

Re: Sanctuary - STEAMPUNK!!!!!
though I read that the stunner gun they're using this season (and auctioning off for charity) will be redesigned to be "less stempunk" next season. This makes me a Sad Lanna. I've always LOVED the fact that Magnus is pretty much a Mad Scientist in a super-fun Gas-lap/Steampunk kinda way so I shall be pouty if they decide to ditch that art direction :(

GLEE! How much do I love Kurt and his dad? omg so much.

BONES! I agree c.c

Aw. I'd be sad if they got rid of it. I remember distinctly thinking I'd liked the decision to give their tech a unique look. Sad.

Just watched the Kurt and his dad scenes again. *squidges them*

I heard that the UST will be resolved by the end of the season on Bones. I think.

Interesting. And then we will see if the curse of RST is true or not. Lol

I would just like to say that ITV4 in the UK exchanged Sanctuary for darts tonight. DARTS...bloody darts, beer-belly blokes with too small arrows......I ASK YOU?

There should be some kind of law for that travesty of scheduling! :(

What? That is CRAZY. Clearly a conspiracy to keep you ahem-ing eps. Lol.

OMG! I loved Colin Cunningham in the last ep. of Sanctuary. I've had the biggest crush on him since Dragon*con. *sigh*

Glee is so awesome. I got the soundtrack and listen to it muchly.

And SGU this past year just made me sigh. Deeply. I agree with you. Why did they have to re-use this old chestnut?

Hee! It'll be fun seeing the stream of syfy stars through Sanctuary. Plus, I am totally spoiler free so I never expect them to show up until they do! So fun!

I got all teary when Kurt tells his dad he's gay and his dad is like "i know' and how proud he was at the football game. And standing up for his boy with the singing.

I love Glee. It's rapidly turning into a new fandom obsession :) :).

Also - everything is better with zombies. EVERYTHING.

I need a Glee icon. Durnit.

Yeah, I was very surprised but very pleased that they dealt with the coming out so well. I'm actually surprised how much I am beginning to care more about the "secondary" characters. Finn just doesn't interest me anymore. Lol.

Hmmm...Glee + Zombies = ?

A Thriller/Disturbia mash up?

I am loving Glee also, all because I liked what I saw in Puck/Rachel. May they get another chance, please! Also Sue and her sister were just too awesome :)

Hah. Yeah the Puck/Rachel was hilarious and great. Sue continues to be made of win, which considering she can't sing, which is my main joy in the show, says a lot about the awesomeness of Sue.
