Ack. Just read a S/J fic that had Jack and Sam saying either "babe" or "love" as every other word.

Oh! There's a pet peeve. I don't like it in fic when they overuse the person's name (or, in this case, term of endearment). Like each sentence ends in "Jack" or "Sam." It's rather ridiculous, because no one does that in real life, especially when there's only two people involved in the scene.
