Dear [livejournal.com profile] holdouttrout send me to watch [personal profile] scifi_tv_addict's 'Wake Up Call" which is an awesome, hilarious, well put together vid about Teal'c not particularly dealing well with other men touching his Sam and Vala. You gotta see it! So funny.

How about some fic recs?

Delicate Dancing by [profile] weesta_fic (Leverage, Eliot, Sophie, Hardison/Parker)
Short little look into the dynamics of all these characters. Sophie observing Eliot with Hardison and Parker. Very fun.

Just a City Boy by [livejournal.com profile] anr (Glee, Finn/Rachel, Finn/Quinn)
I'm still wondering how I can be so excited about fanfic for a show that's only aired one ep. Lol. But this is a great fic, dealing with Finn's crazy, confusing, frightening, and yet somehow sweet relationship with Rachel. I just hope this show can live up to the fanfic it's inspired!

And if you are somehow still not reading [livejournal.com profile] mhalachaiswords' Physics of the Spin, why, I  ask you? WHY? The latest chapter, Pegasus Law of Disaster, has completely blown me away and made me fall in love with the story all over again as the author deals with the impact of the bigoted, cluster-fuck-waiting-to-happen insanity that is the American Military's 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' policy. (SGA/Gilmore Girls Crossover, some Rory/John)

[personal profile] aurora_novarum pointed out this awesome online comic, and the more I read, the more I  feel like I am watching my own geek life! Haha.

I'm also enjoying reading through John Roger's posts on Kung Fu Monkey blog, lots of behind the scenes Leverage goodness!

Oh, and random PSA  to the universe? Stories posted to LJ in multiple parts? Be a kind, thoughtful author and take the five seconds it requires to add a link to the next chapter at the bottom of each previous entry, pretty please? Otherwise the reader might not be arsed to search around your journal to find the next bit and give up trying to read it all together. Just a thought.

So, people, what's your glee these days? How is Project More Glee in 2009 going?

Isn't it awesome?

And I LOVE Kung Fu Monkey blog. I just discovered it last week.

Yay to rec'cing goodness! These are the things that are my glee (and new CotG). RL...not so much. :-(

Yes, luckily even when RL is being mean, we have much online glee! :D

Just having tv back after not having it for some 3 months has maxed out my glee-o-meter.

Ooh! and Archive Of Our Own going to open beta very soon is also quite gleeful. (it's quite a nice place to poke around right now, but they love getting user feedback, so go, poke!)

*looks at list*
Doesn't take much to make me happy. :)

Three months of no TV? I might have dropped dead. Wait, did you still have internet and hulu and streaming netflixs? Because then I think I could survive. Lol.

Ah, the Archive of our Own, that's part of the OTW, right?

It is part of the OTW. What I really like about it (aside from the lack of advertisements) is the way you can filter works six ways from sunday. There's been a lot of thought put into making it usable and fast. Though I do notice that it's a little light on SG1 fic right now... (and only 27 entries for Leverage)

Hulu and Netflix aren't available here. But oh the DVD marathons I've been having. It'll just be nice to watch something where I don't know the ending for a change. :)

Ah, so you had a tv set, just no hook up. Phew, much better. Lol. Thank goodness for DVDs! :D

I'll have to check out the OTW archive some time. I think it's interesting that there's been a certain amount of hesitance on fans parts about the OTW, like some are still sitting back and waiting to see what will happen, as they see the OTW as poking a sleeping dragon. I'm not sure that's true, but I am still watching and waiting for the most part.

I have noticed that people are taking a watch and see attitude about it. I've approached it from the purely techincal standpoint (sort of related to my RL job) and I have to say there are some nice features in the archive itsself, like being able to import an entire story over from another website, or view all the chapters in a work inline instead of clicking through them.

The more political aspects...I just hope they don't scare people off.

Yeah, so much fun. Mostly because it is so obvious that they are total fanboys. I love it when the tv peeps use fannish language. Your internet forays are showing! ;)

thanks for the lovely rec! I have to admit, I was a little worried about the response in a fandom where gay!military seems to be the norm, but I'm getting more guff on the het pairing than the treatment of DADT. I love my crazy space fandom.

Hahah. Yeah, I'm always rather surprised by the things that barely cause a ripple. Though I must say I am not surprised by a reaction to the Rory/John. I'm usually insanely picky about pairings I will read about, but with your story, you're taking us on such a great journey that I just don't care. Besides, it all plays out so believably. I'll follow the story anywhere! :D
