Still alive.

Still on writing vacation. (Though...I can already feel the fannishness building up. I'm looking forward to the explosion.) My crippling writing guilt is also finally beginning to recede, though a recent comment from a reader asking if I was okay, in the sense of hoping nothing catastrophic had befallen me since I have been neglecting my WIP so woefully long...that sort of brought back another wave of crippling guilt. Deep breath. Then I have to remind myself that other than a few outstanding WIPs, sequels, and such, I am not signed up for a single ficathon right now. Phew.

To focus on something more positive (and certainly more finished), I thought I might take a stab at the DVD fic commentary thingy, if anyone really finds this sort of thing interesting. But if someone actually does, I wouldn't mind giving it a try. I consider it pressure-free writing. Woot.  Oh, and my stories are here.  If you pick one of the longer novel-type fics, I'd appreciate any hint as to a specific chapter or scene you have the most interest in. Or something.

Writing Goals: 2009

I like making these lists so I have something to come back to all year and cross things off as I finish them. Makes me feel all productive and such. Plus, it makes it all seem much more manageable, having a nice, neat list like this. Hopefully the curse of never being able to finish any story once I talk about will not apply here. Lol.

+Just bought a full tank of gas for less than $20. I actually did a little dance. At the same time...kind of sad because when we were paying $4 or $5 a gallon, we were at least thinking more about our habits and our buying power and long term solutions for the energy crisis. So, yeah, good and bad.

+FINALLY finished overhauling my fic webpage. All the strange doodads and @$^#%&# should now be gone. If you are ever on there and find something wonky, feel free to drop me an email. I'd totally appreciate it.

+The small burst in S/J fic the last few days has been lovely. Perhaps this is in reaction to anr's news that there will be another SJ ficathon!!

+Made some icons. One I've been meaning to make forbeanpot for ages, and it has in fact been so long that I can't quite remember the context for it anymore. Lol. Hopefully she does. The other one is forsyxp for her recent spat of writing. (This must be encouraged.) As for the rest? Pretty self explanatory, I would hope.

I bought a bag of those chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels of doom from Trader Joe's the other day after reading people talking about them.  OMG. SO. GOOD.  *devours entire bag in one sitting*

Also, when exactly did they change the flavors of Lifesavers? Whose brilliant idea was that?  I mean, grape? Bleh.  And when I popped a green one in my mouth--ICK! Not the fun lime flavor I remember, but watermelon.  Change just for the sake of change is not always good, people.
